Z is for Zark and Zany

Welcome to Stranded!, my Strand Magazine-based April A to Z Blogging Challenge!  In this challenge, I will be taking illustrations from The Strand Magazine and making new stories out of them.  So, in order to fully appreciate the Stirring Events eventuating here, a look back at my older A TO Z entries is advisable.  I promise you, they are short.  Click Here to start with my Theme Reveal, or Click Here to start with A!  It is also totally acceptable to just look at today’s post.

And now!  The Exciting Conclusion to Alfie’s story!

What is that you say?  Oh, yes, fair enough.  It wasn’t actually a very exciting conclusion.  The exciting part of Alfie’s narrative already happened.  Yes.  I agree.  I have, however, one further image, which I hope you will find exciting.  Gentlemen, release the elephant!

Today’s images are from The Strand Magazine, No. 52, No. 21, and No. 9.

AAAAAnd… that’s all, folks!  I will probably do a wrap-up post tomorrow, or the day after that, or next week, or something… anyway, I do want to show you a selection of the images I didn’t end up using from The Strand Magazine, so stay tuned!

And to all of my new subscribers, HELLO/I LOVE YOU ALL/WHERE ON EARTH DID YOU ALL COME FROM? Seriously, there were like 30 of you a week ago, and now there are 140.  Thanks!!!!  Welcome!  I am really pleased to see you!  I don’t post often, but when I do, it is usually something awesome.  Did I mention that I am Not Humble?  I think I did.

Remember to check out some of my fellow A to Z Fictioneers!  There is a list of them around here somewhere… if you are on a computer or a tablet, it is probably in the sidebar; if you are on a mobile phone, check underneath the Comments section.

  1. Hey, is that last pic supposed to be a cliffhanger?
Poor Alfie. I think Annabelle fared a lot batter then him.
But they were both good fun stories, I enjoyed reading them. And congratulation on completing the challenge. It’s always a great fit 😉

  2. Congrats on making it to the end! It was awesome. And that is roughly the sound I would make choking back a whole raw potato.

I’m one of those new 140!

  3. this ending was fun, at least alfie is himself again though I wonder what’s his fascination with his mustache a few post back?

the elephant at the end – does that mean alfie joins a circus?

I enjoyed reading your a-z posts. congrats on finishing.

    have a lovely day.

    • Hello Lissa! I suppose he could join a circus… I mean, he has his soul back, so he can do things besides talk about his mustache again… but I just really liked that picture and thought it would make a good goodbye-A-to-Z pic.

  4. Hey, based on your A-to-Z dedication, I nominated you for a blog award thingie:
    http://www.cdgallantking.ca/2017/05/a-wild-mystery-blogger-award-appears.html

If you choose to accept it, you’ll have to fill out a bunch of silly questions and nominate more people. You’ve been warned…

  5. Hooray! You made it through the challenge in a most creative and entertaining way.
